Our Next step and how you can help
I want to extend a special thank you to all of those in our association who are helping and assisting flood victims in Eastern KY. A few weeks ago I shared a video on Facebook about a special way we can help and I want to give an update to that project. With the help of Jamie Reynolds the Director of Missions of the Three Forks Association (Perry co. Letcher co.) we have identified a pastor that has lost everything due to the flood. Our association is going to assist that pastor in rebuilding. We are going to give both financial helps and labor toward his rebuild. I spoke with pastor Scottie the other day, he is still awaiting news about if his rebuild site is considered a "flood area" or not. The concern is, if it is a flood area the insurance companies will not insure a structure built on a property. Scottie is hopeful that he can still build back on the property he owns but perhaps with a taller block foundation that would keep any potential of flood waters reaching the interior. Pray for Pastor Scottie and his situation along with the other victims
Ways to Give
1. LRBA Flood Relief Fund: The funds designated will go to help rebuild Pastor Scottie's house. There are 5 people in his household. Scottie is a bivocational pastor at Colson Baptist Church and a school bus driver. You can make checks out to the Laurel River Baptist Association, in the memo line label as "Flood Relief" ( you can drop it off at the office or mail to 114 Carter Dr, London KY 40741). You can also give gift cards that will assist families in getting exactly what they need.

2. Three Forks Baptist Association: AMS Jamie Reynolds has established a relief fund through his association you can
give directly to his association for the needs of (Hazard, Hindman, Letcher Counties. You can Mail funds to Three Forks Baptist Associaton 304 Roy Campbell Drive. Hazard, KY 41701
